Managing diabetes is incredibly difficult. It’s a 24-7 responsibility that is demanding physically and emotionally. It’s confusing, stressful, complicated, and often painful. Adults with diabetes struggle every day to stay positive and to keep their numbers in check.

But what if you’re a kid? It can be even more difficult to understand why you have to learn to cope with this diagnosis. To not feel like you’ve been dealt an unfair hand. To not feel overwhelmed by having to constantly think about keeping your blood sugar levels in check.

But Strawberry Traffic Jam is here to help! The Portland band is incredibly passionate about making music for kids, and even give part of the proceeds from their album sales to the charities; Books For Kids and WHY Hunger.

In “The 40-Point Swing (AKA The Diabetes Song),” they set out to reach children with diabetes. Check out the adorable animated video below that teaches kiddos just how important it is to manage your blood sugar levels!
