A Ballerina’s Dance With Diabetes

Fiona King was a professional ballet dancer, a profession with a strict diet and exercise regimen. Her passion took a turn when she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 19. With ballet being a priority versus managing her diabetes, Fiona had poor blood glucose control resulting in a number of diabetes complications.
