A Teen’s Life With Diabetes

Being a teen is already difficult enough but adding the diabetes factor makes life just a little bit harder. Take it from 13-year-old Camila Velez who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 10. With no knowledge of the disease, Camila and her parents had to learn and manage her diabetes at the same time Camila was living with it.

Watch as they tell us their story of her diagnosis, accepting her condition, and how she’s learn how to control her diabetes today. “It takes time to manage but Camila is getting there and her quality of life depends on her management.”
