Like any other 24-year-old, Calla tries to stay healthy and exercises regularly. But unlike most ladies her age, she has more of a drive to do so because she has Type 1 diabetes. Diagnosed in October 1998 at the age of nine, Calla’s life was changed forever, but over the years managing her diabetes has become a normal routine and has become easier due to the research from JDRF.

Watch as Calla describes how her life has been throughout the years with diabetes. She reminds us to help raise awareness and support in JDRF’s research to find a cure to Type 1 diabetes. Diabetes never sleeps, we need to find a cure!
