The researchers studied people around the age of 59 who were Type 2 diabetics. They experienced a shocking increase in blood sugar and signs of insulin resistance. The study participants ate well-balanced meals for lunch and dinner, yet they experienced a significant loss of glucose for the remainder of the day.
