How Charlie Kimball Manages Diabetes at 200 MPH
The Diabetes Site
Charlie Kimball fell in love with racing the first time he got behind the wheel. But in 2007 he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Despite the changes he was forced to make to his life, it was that love that drove him back to the track by 2008, as he refused to give up his dream of racing professionally. And now?
Now, Kimball is still competing at the highest level, on the most difficult stage, as well as doing his best to raise diabetes awareness. His message: that just because you have diabetes doesn’t mean that you can’t chase your dream.
See Kimball discuss his experiences with learning about his diagnosis, understanding how to live with Type 1, and managing it while also managing a fast-paced (literally) career. Check out the video below, and let us know what you think in the comments!
