Most people would agree that parenting is one of the hardest jobs a person could ever have. Your life completely changes when you have kids, and while there are so many wonderful things you get to see, from their first steps to their first words, they come with a whole lot of stress.
You wish you could protect them from so many things: that first fall, the first time someone hurt’s their feelings, their first heartbreak… And while parents do their best to shield their children from pain for as long as they can, there are some things that are simply unavoidable. In those instances, they do the best they can to help their child develop the tools they need to cope.
For some parents, this necessity comes a bit earlier. For the parents of children with diabetes, they’re immediately required to learn how to teach someone else to manage their condition, while learning to manage it themselves. It’s a round-the-clock task that is exhausting.
The dad in the video below has turned this task into a perfected routine, and his son, Henry, doesn’t even notice his dad is managing his diabetes for him while he sleeps!
