Thanksgiving typically features some of (in my opinion) the very best dishes! From stuffing and mashed potatoes to pumpkin pie, there are so many foods that are difficult to resist. Add the fact that it’s a holiday to the mix, and a lot of us tend to give ourselves free reign to splurge a little.
However, for many of us, a little bit of splurging turns into full on overindulgence.
Holiday overindulgence isn’t new. With the abundance of treats that are consistently present at home, work, and social gatherings, as well the built in days of feasting, it’s no wonder that people (with and without diabetes) struggle to maintain healthy diets.
