For as long as we can remember, we’ve been told to eat our veggies. We get it. We know they’re important. Fundamental to a well balanced diet, and essential to weight management. If you have diabetes, this has probably been reinforced for you more than most.
Because not only are they an vital source of the vitamins and minerals you need to stay healthy, they’re also really great at helping maintain balanced glucose levels.
But if you don’t love vegetables, they can get really boring, really fast.
But they don’t have to! In the video below, Michael Marks, the American Diabetes Association’s resident produce man, shows us some awesome ways to prepare veggies so they’re super yummy, and anything but boring! What’s better? They’re all non-starchy vegetables, which are ideal for people with diabetes.
