Healthy Diabetes Flour Alternatives

If you have diabetes, you’re probably accustomed to paying close attention to your carb intake. In fact, carb-counting might be an automatic part of each of your meals. And it might sometimes feel as though limiting your intake of carbohydrates also limits the variety of foods you can enjoy. Because, after all, most foods have some carbohydrates in them.

So, what’s the answer if you’re looking to keep your numbers in check without sacrificing variety?

Well, in the video below, dLife Chef Michel Mischan, lets us into his kitchen where he provides us with some awesome pointers! The Chef teaches people with (and without) diabetes about some great alternatives to the conventional white flours that can send our blood sugar levels through the roof.

Take a look at his terrific examples of whole grains and bean flours that are lower in gluten, and also have some essential nutrients and minerals. Plus, they’re high in fiber, lower in cholesterol, and are low on the glycemic index!

Say goodbye to traditional white flour and hello to whole-grains!
