Managing diabetes is difficult, the cost of testing strips, insulin, and a diabetes-friendly diet adds up. For those living in less fortunate communities, accessibility and affordability to diabetes supplies may be sparse. However, to better support low income diabetes patients, an initiative to work with community-based organizations across the U.S. has helped to improve the care for these individuals.
