My First Insulin Pump

This Type 1 diabetic was diagnosed at age eight and endured multiple daily injections of insulin, the only option she thought she had. It wasn’t until she attended Camp Granada, a diabetes camp, that she learned other ways of taking insulin such as insulin pump therapy. Longing for an insulin pump she was relentless, but since it was still a knew thing at the time, her doctor and parents were hesitant.

But they finally gave in. Watch as this Type 1-er went from 12,775 daily injections over five years to receiving her first pump at 13 years old and loving it! Take control of your diabetes!
