Oldest Type 1 Suvivor In The World

Imagine living over four generations with Type 1 diabetes. For Type 1 Aussie, Winsome Johnston, she’s been living with it for the past 78 years and is still going strong. She was diagnosed at age 6 and at the age of 84, she has become the longest surviving individual with Type 1 diabetes in the world.

With the determination to do what she wanted and with the knowledge she had about diabetes, it has helped her to live as long as she has. Watch as she has become an inspiration and hopes to spread her story with the growing number of children living with diabetes in New Zealand.
