Ridiculous Things People with Diabetes Hear A LOT

We’ve all been there. We all have our stories about a situation (or, realistically, many situations) wherein we were confronted with a person or group of people that had some pretty bizarre ideas about what it means to have diabetes. From not understanding the differences between types, to having some far-out theories about what causes diabetes and how it is managed, it’s clear that people are not always as educated about the condition as we’d like them to be.

The counselors at Camp Seale Harris, a year-round camp for children and teens with diabetes, are in the same boat. Collectively, they have heard it all when it comes to misconceptions about the disease. In this FAQ video project, the group asks some of the more frustrating, albeit hilarious, misguided questions.
