School-Based Intervention Decreases Diabetes Risks

A health study of 42 schools across the country was implemented as an intervention to see if it could reduce the risk factors of type 2 diabetes amongst children who were at high risk of diabetes.

Watch how a 4-component intervention, which included increase in exercise, healthier diets, health education and a social marketing campaign, helped to decrease the growing pattern of those found to be obese, overweight, and at risk of diabetes. Knowledge is power!
