And once the kids are tucked into bed and fast asleep, it can feel like it’s your time to finally take a deep breath and relax. To get a peaceful night’s sleep so you can awake refreshed and ready to take on the next day!
However, if you are the parent of a child with type 1 diabetes, it can be difficult to truly hit that off switch. Instead, it’s not uncommon for parents to actually find their stress and worry increasing.
They might find themselves becoming concerned with whether or not their child’s blood sugar is too low, what mistakes they may have made throughout the day, how they could have or should have done better.
