This Sad Pup Waits and Waits While All the Other Shelter Dogs Are Adopted Around HerA. Boyea
The life of a shelter dog can be lonely. Just look in the eyes of Suzy here, and you’ll immediately understand.
As visitor after visitor passed her by, Suzy began to feel relegated to a life without the love so many of her fellow shelter animals had found. She waited for so long to find her forever home, and when the time was right, someone small found her
This video will make you want to run out to your local shelter and adopt a dog. My heart broke for Suzy, but then she finally found her happy ending!
If only all dogs could be so lucky!
Can’t adopt an animal right now? That’s ok. You can still pledge to show your support by volunteering at a local shelter, fostering a shelter animal, and sharing this video on social media!
Cats need help, too. There are between 30 and 40 million “community cats” in the United States, and only about 2% are spayed or neutered. The harsh reality is, shelters are forced to euthanize millions of these animals due to lack of funding.
A single unspayed female cat could give birth to 1,000 kittens in her lifetime. Every year, during kitten season when these female cats go into heat, the population explodes. Subsequently, shelters are overwhelmed with cats and kittens.
Many of these animals are euthanized the same day they are “rescued” off the streets.
But, there is hope.
