There are over 10 million people in Haiti and about 30,000 of them have diabetes. Unfortunately 60% of their population lives on less than $2 a day, they don’t have access to medication and care they need, so death from diabetes has become very common until now.
Watch how Dr. Rene Charles, founder of FHADIMAC (La Foundation haitienne de diabete et de maladies cardio-vasculaires) decides to open a center in the Haitian community to provide life-saving screenings, supplies, and education to people living with diabetes. This program has become the lifeline for people living with diabetes in Haiti. Let’s raise awareness of this growing disease!
