Kind Stranger Saves Family’s Vacation With ‘Overwhelming’ Act Of Kindness

Going on a family vacation takes a lot of work if you have small kids. Even a simple trip to the store can require a lot of effort and planning!

When going on an international trip, there are so many things to think about. You have to plan for accommodations, transportation, passports, vaccinations, meals, clothes, and activities. It can be a lot to take in and sometimes, even the biggest things can be easily overlooked.

Even the most well-planned families can run into accidents where they forget a key element of the trip, and that happened to a family traveling from Canada to Mexico.

The Marten family was well on the way to Mexico when they realized something awful: They’d forgotten to pack their youngest son’s medication! The trip might’ve been ruined then and there, but Kirsten Marten decided to make a “hail mary” post on Facebook to see if anyone could help.

Marten shared about the situation on Facebook explaining that she “posted a Hail Mary on a local moms group at about 5am asking if anyone may happen to be flying out today or the next day and could bring his medicine with them.”

Not only did someone step up to help them, but it was someone she’d never even met before! Marten explained, “Marina Miller-someone I’ve never met, let alone spoken to, reached out immediately and in a matter of minutes not only had me sorted out but had the medicine arrive at our hotel when we arrived and paid for it all herself!!”

Miller had even written on the Fluoxetine package her phone number and a little note saying to call her if they needed anything.

Completely overwhelmed by and frankly I awe by the random act of kindness sent to us today. We left for Mexico without…

It was a kind thing to do and the generosity left an overwhelmed Marten “welling and filled with love up.”

The world could use more acts of kindness and Miller is a wonderful inspiration for that!
